Fans of off road racing will be treated to another year of heart-pumping action as the Australian Off Road Commission (AORC) confirmed three rounds of racing for next year. Just recently, the commission made public the schedule for the 2017 season of the highly anticipated CAMS Australian Off Road Championship. Some of the world's best off road racers and their LED light bar equipped vehicles are slated to compete in these events that will be held in Victoria, Northern Territory, and South Australia to gain the coveted title.
The first round of the event, the Sunraysia 600, will be held in Mildura from the 7th to the 9th of April, 2017. The second round, the Tatts Finke Desert Race is slated for June 9th to 11th in Alice Springs. And finally, Waikerie will host the third round of the series, the Riverland Enduro, from the 21st to the 23rd of July 2017.
Marilyn Emmins, chair of the Australian Off Road Commission, said they are looking forward to another great year of competitive off road racing. She also assured racers and spectators alike that the event will get the full support of the commission. “All events will be well supported and we’re excited for the 2017 season," she said. So if you want to catch a glimpse of the best teams and the best LED light bar in Australia, you should start marking your calendars.
As for those joining the race, Ms Emmins also revealed that there are more people who expressed interest in being part of the action. "After we introduced the three-round season this year the competitor numbers were up, which saw good and close competition over the season," she said. She also said that submissions for additional rounds have been given to the AORC and the commission will work with these events through next year so they can be included in the 2018 racing calendar.
If you want to be a professional racer, like South Australians and 2016 CAMS Australian Off Road Championship winners Jack Rhodes and David Pullino, make sure to equip your ride with a reliable and durable 4WD LED bar light. Any pro racer knows that having the right equipment can make a huge difference.
Also, take time to hone your skills. After all, even if you do have the equipment, it won't do you anything good if you don't know how to use it.
Be sure to share this article with your friends so they'll know when to see the best light bars 4x4, off road vehicles, and racers next.
