8 December 2015
While most people are gearing up for the upcoming holidays as Christmas is fast approaching, 4WD racers headed over to Storrier's Gravel Pit in Grabben Gullen Road in Crookwell, New South Wales, to take to the track for their final race for 2015. Members of the Crookwell Off Road Club, along with their LED light bar equipped mean machines, battled it out over the weekend to see who will take home the Ray Vestey Memorial Christmas Cup.
Ten teams have been nominated to participate in the short course event, which is the fourth round of the Crookwell Off Road Club Championship, totalling 75 kilometres of off road racing. The event is a short course race that ran in an anticlockwise direction over a variety of surfaces and terrain.
Conditions were extremely dry, causing a swirl of dust to blanket over competitors and even the spectators. They were a complete contrast to the muddy event held earlier this year as part of the New South Wales Off Road Championship. If you were present at race and you are have the best LED light bars installed in your vehicle, you'd definitely have to make sure that they have good dustproof rating because if not, the amount of dust will definitely wreak havoc on your vehicle's lighting equipment.
The event showcased a parade of awesome off road vehicles. Competitors brought machines raging from pro buggies with 1330cc engines to big, hulking highly modified 4WDs with 7200cc engines. The race, with its multiple categories, was definitely a sight to behold and any fan of off road racing would definitely have a great time at the event.
Want to Be a Great Off Road Racer, Too?
The trophy and the prize money are just some of the things that you can take home if you win such events. There is having the bragging rights, too, and the honour of being called one of the best racers in the country. But if you want to be a winner, you have to improve your driving skills and make sure that your 4X4 is properly tuned. And more importantly, your ride should be equipped with the best LED light bar in Australia.
As there are races that are conducted at night and even under extreme weather conditions, it is a must that you fit your 4WD with lighting equipment that will provide you with a great view of the road. With a reliable LED bar light 4WD, not only can you ensure your safety, you can also improve your chances of winning.
