Hey there! Today, we'll be steering away a bit from our regular content, and we'll be taking a closer look as to how you can safeguard your spaces, and how you yourself can stay safe from this pandemic.
179,112 according to the WHO, you'd do well to keep yourself safe and clear from the virus. By protecting yourself, you're protecting a lot more people by flattening the curve. If you're wondering what we mean by flattening the curve, follow this link to learn more.
Let's keep each other accountable- we fight this virus by working together and holding ourselves accountable during this trying time. Sanitation and distancing are our equal #1 priorities.
Here are our tips for staying safe and "flattening the curve".
During travel
If you have a private vehicle, use it. Public transportation increases the chances of contracting the coronavirus, so you'd do well to travel privately in the safety of your own vehicle for now. If you don't have the means to travel privately or if you don't have your own car, consider walking if it's not too far; if it's not too important, then stay inside and stay safe.
If you'd really like to purchase something, consider looking through online stores for the meantime to buy that certain something.
Before you travel, remember to sanitize everything. Make sure to check the areas that get touched often, even if just by yourself. are properly sanitized with a cleaning solution. Since you can't wash these surfaces, make sure that you have a cleaning compound- alcohol solutions with 70% alcohol work best as it breaks up the protective layer of the virus that keeps it "alive" and ready to infect people.
The high-risk areas that need to be sanitized are the wheel, the clutch, the dashboard, and the seat heads. Simply wipe away with an alcohol solution. If you have a different kind of fabric for your car seat, such as leather, you can get some leather conditioner to prevent it from cracking out.
Dash cams are also one important point to consider; these dash cameras can be an important point to consider when sanitizing. Since we all have to offload footage at some point, we're going to touch a dash camera sometimes to remove the SD card and offload the content.
Remember that you need to take it off from time to time; whenever you do, wipe it down with some wipes and clean your hands after setting it back in place.
And most importantly, don't forget your car door handles; wipe them down whenever possible. If you've come from the outside, it's best to use some wipes to clean them before handling it. If you can spray it down with an alcohol spray, do so as this disrupts the integrity of the virus.
Your Home
To make sure that your home is secure, make sure to clean up as often as possible. If you want to secure your home completely, you can check your security camera feed for who goes in and who goes out.
Better yet- let nobody in for now, and anyone who's at home should stay in.
This keeps you and your community safe. This keeps you safe in your own home against any possible infection, and on the off chance that you are already infected, you're keeping your entire community safe from the virus.
This flattens the curve and allows our healthcare system to cope, allowing those that need intensive healthcare to be prioritized, while you yourself stay safe and isolated. If everyone does the same thing, then it makes it easy for the system to eradicate the coronavirus from the face of the planet.
With just a little bit of sacrifice on everyone's part, we can keep everything under control and hopefully life will be back to normal sooner than expected.
At home, you will still need to be careful. If you have a security camera, review your feed for who goes in and who goes out.

At home, you will still need to be a little more careful even if you rarely go out. Make sure that you wash your hands as often as possible. If you can transact without cash, then do so.
At the first sign that you feel symptoms coming on (which you can see here), get tested. If you come out as positive, isolate yourself and make sure that you don't spread the virus further. And most importantly, don't panic. Panicking will lead to terrible decisions that might cause the virus to spread further, and prompt your community to do things that might spread it.
In the meantime, busy yourself with exercise, or catching up on your hobbies!
So remember to remain calm and isolate yourself during this season- if we follow the guidelines and distance ourselves socially, we should all be fine after this pandemic. Stay safe everyone!
