Hello there! If you’ve been reading up on our blog, you’ll notice that we’ve been rounding up some rather interesting questions on our new Quora feed. It's been a good year, and if you asked us some questions on our feed too, thank you so much and keep em' coming!
We’ve answered a lot of them over this year, and we’ve compiled them here for you to read. This will be the last round-up post of the year, but we’ll continue to answer more of them in the coming year.
As always, feel free to visit us on our Quora feed and ask us questions there.
Without further ado, let’s get started!
Great question!
You need a smart way to monitor all incoming traffic in your house or your business. Of course, there’s no other way to monitor the different areas of your home other than to review the footage on your own.
And that’s a gigantic hassle.
It’s either you do it yourself, or have someone else do it- security cameras can be effective, but they are tedious machines to work with and that’s one of the main reservations from people that aren’t using them.
True, it can be tedious to review security camera footage, but our line of security camera DVRs are now able to capture and save faces, working with one camera that can be mounted on the entrance of property.
Once the facial recognition software kicks in and captures the faces of the people that come in and out of your property, it saves time stamps for you to review on your DVR. This is particularly helpful, as most activity that happens in any given property can be tied to human activity.
You can simply pull up events attributed to a person what the DVR captures, making security camera review a breeze.
Good question! CCTV security cameras on their own cannot keep the videos; they don’t have the capacity to store memory inside their diminutive frame, which is 100% dedicated to simply serving as the “eye” of the entire CCTV system.
Once the CCTV captures the video, it offloads the video simultaneously as it captures to the main DVR; this DVR then keeps all the recorded information, and often facilitates for video playback and review.
Commonly, a days worth of video taken from a CCTV camera might be anywhere between 200 MB to 1 GB worth of video, depending on the capture capacity of the security camera (resolution and picture quality) .
If you’re buying a security camera CCTV set, make sure that you take these into account, since this will dictate how often you offload and download videos, how often you’ll have to review footage, and how often you’ll need to worry about your DVR running out of space.
Nevertheless, plenty of CCTV security systems nowadays offer looping footage, simply overwriting older content with newer ones. Still, be sure to review often and check your security camera’s footage, especially if you suspect that something has happened, or that something is afoot.

Never, ever try filling up the max psi on your tyres. Always make sure that you have your pressure gauge or your TPMS, or Tyre Pressure Monitoring System ready to check if you have the right psi level on your tires.
Overinflating has no known benefits, and if there are, the cons heavily outweigh the pros, enough to not do it at all.
Now I know what you’re probably thinking- you’ve heard that over-inflating your tyres to the max psi level helps with gas mileage, helping you get the most out of every drop of gasoline that you have.
So no, do not fill the car’s tyres to the max psi, and follow the standard based on your car’s manual. There is a general standard of 30–35 psi, but follow your car’s manual and defer to it at all times.
If you’re looking for great gear to always be in the loop with your car’s temperature and psi level, get your TPMS here from Elinz.
